Kiev; Odessa

July 2015

Six months after my initial visit, I returned to Ukraine in the summer of 2015. I had come back to continue interviews in other parts of the country I had not covered in my trip.

Stop 1: Kiev

Kiev had seemed more lively, and the number of commemoration for the Euromaidan had increased drastically. I had the opportunity to interview members of the new Kiev police and the fact-checking organization Stopfake.org.

Stop 2: odessa

After a train ride from Kiev, I arrived in Odessa. With the help of a friend, I had a translator during this portion of my research.
